Stephen Collins is facing more issues stemming from his purported confession that he molested three teenagers decades ago.
Collins, 67, is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Special Victims Bureau after an LA woman stepped forward claiming she was one the victims mentioned the actor's confession.
The woman contacted authorities on Oct. 9, just days after TMZ released an audio recording of Collins admitting to the abuse during a therapy session with his estranged wife Faye Grant. The woman told authorities she lived in LA at the the time the actor exposed himself to her and "annoyed or molested her at a home in West Hollywood," according to Yahoo.
The actor admitted to having exposed himself to three underage girls and to placing his penis in one of their hands in the recording. The first victim was identified in the tape as being a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman. Authorities are reportedly working on tracking down the third victim, who has supposedly already been identified as a girl who used to babysit Collins' daughter with Grant.
The actor has been in hiding since the allegations came to light, but his once-bright career has already started to suffer from the backlash of his actions. A day after the tape was made public, Collins resigned from the Screen Actors Guild board and was dropped from the upcoming film Ted 2, the television series Scandal and his talent agency. UP TV network also decided to stop airing 7th Heaven reruns after the fact.
Collins is expected to appear in court to continue his divorce proceedings with Grant on Nov. 12. His attorney said the actor's estranged wife had been threatening to release the tape for years as a way to leverage a better financial settlement in the couple's divorce. Grant denied the allegations and claimed she released the tape to authorities in 2012 as they requested it for another investigation.
