A Polish court in Krakow held another session on Thursday, taking decisions on material files connected with the extradition of Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski to the United States.
According to reports, Polanski is pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
According to Polish Press Agency, the Krakow court decided to approve the evidence material, submitted by director's barrister, including the order of California court made in 2009, mentioning a number of lapses during the proceedings against Polanski.
The decision whether to include the interrogation protocol into the evidence material will be made during next session on May 22. The protocol is claimed to contain the information of reaching a settlement between the parties, Polanski and Samantha Geimer. It is pivotal for Polanski's defense, who tries to prove the extradition request groundless.
The court also decided to apply to the United States for a series of documents, regarding both the proceedings against the director in the United States and the documents on extradition application placed in Switzerland.
If the court decides the extradition is impossible, the decision will be final and binding.
Polanski, who won an Oscar award in 2002 for directing "The Pianist", was pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 in the United States. He fled to France before he could be sentenced. The United States lodged an extradition request to Poland in October 2014.
