Grammy Award-winning US singer-songwriter Jason Mraz and Singapore\'s own Corrinne May will perform on June 29 and June 30 respectively at Rhythm with Nature, a three-day event held at the new Bay South Garden. The Bay South Garden, which will open its doors to the public on June 29, is the largest of the three gardens that make up Gardens By The Bay, a green oasis in the city that spans a total of 101 hectares in Singapore\'s downtown Marina Bay area. Both performances will be held at night at The Meadow, a spacious outdoor venue within the Bay South Garden that offers views of the garden\'s cooled conservatories and Supertree Grove, as well as the city skyline. Corrinne May will be the first Singaporean singer to hold a concert at The Meadow, and she is looking forward to performing there. \"I believe that nature and music are intrinsically intertwined. So much of music is inspired by nature… \"I\'m honoured and excited to be the first Singaporean musician to perform at the Gardens by the Bay,\" said Corrinne May. \"I can\'t think of a more beautiful setting for listening to music and I hope that in the Gardens by the Bay, serenaded with songs, we may hear Nature\'s invitation to find ourselves in her embrace.\" Apart from the two ticketed concerts by Mraz and Corrinne May, Rhythm with Nature - which will be held from June 29 to July 1 as part of the official opening of Gardens By The Bay - will also feature a series of free activities such as a green fair and a photo contest, as well as a free outdoor movie screening following Corrinne May\'s performance.
