Lea Michele shared on Twitter a series of photos from the set of the Glee series finale.
The 28-year-old actress, Matthew Morrison, Darren Criss and more finished filming the sixth and final season of the Fox musical series Saturday. Michele and others posted several pictures as shooting came to a close, and the star also wrote a special thank you to the show's fans.
"I can't believe tomorrow is our last day at Glee," she tweeted Friday. "It is going to be such an emotional day. But I'm so grateful though to have had this incredibly amazing experience. Thank you so much to all of our amazing Gleeks who supported us so much! I love you guys."
"We were so lucky to have had the most amazing crew who worked so hard everyday to make the show amazing. I'm so grateful for them," she said. "So thank you all again so much from the bottom of my heart. I will miss Rachel Berry so very much."
Michele has starred as Rachel Berry since the dramedy's premiere in 2009. The program will air its series finale March 20. Morrison said in an interview with E! News that saying goodbye to the show was an emotional experience.
"It was a tough day," he said of the final day of filming. "I'm not going to cry now because I kind of got it all out, but it was a really tough day. It was a beautiful send-off ... I was singing to all the kids and Amber Riley stars crying and I'm like, 'Come on, don't do this to me right now.'"
Michele will next star with Keke Palmer on new Fox series Scream Queens. The program is being developed by Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, and will also feature Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Joe Manganiello and Joe Jonas.
