Former reality television personality Josh Duggar announced via Twitter Sunday the birth of his fourth child, a daughter named Meredith.
"Announcing the arrival of Meredith Grace Duggar! 7lbs 14 ozs, 20-1/2in -- Anna and Meredith are resting & doing well!" Duggar tweeted, referring to his wife, whom he married in 2008.
The baby news comes just days after Duggar and his family learned TLC had officially canceled their docu-series 19 Kids and Counting. The show had been in limbo for months after it was revealed Duggar had molested several little girls, including his siblings, when he was 14 and 15.
Duggar was not charged with any crime and he apologized publicly for his abusive actions, but the ensuing scandal and the fact the family attempted to cover it up badly tarnished their image as wholesome Christians.
