Jake Gyllenhaal claimed to be a hopeless romantic in his latest interview promoting Southpaw Wednesday.
The Nightcrawler actor told Howard Stern he is "upset" that he's not in love. "I believe in monogamy, I believe in when you meet somebody who's right, like it'll be right. You'll stay there."
"Are you in love right now?" Stern asked.
"No," Gyllenhaal, 34, said. But he did gush over romance in general, revealing he was in love three times in his life. "I love love, man...are you kidding me?"
Stern continued to ask the actor why he didn't stay in those relationships, seeing that he had the opportunity to settle down.
"It was me, man." Gyllehnaal said. "I think I probably just got scared."
The Sirius XM interview comes just after social media users noticed Monday that "Bad Blood" -- sang by Gyllenhaal's ex Taylor Swift -- played in the background of his Good Morning America appearance. "Were you aware of that?" Stern asked.
"No," Gyllenhaal laughed. "First of all, I did not hear that...When I'm doing an interview when you're up at 5 a.m. and you can't really make sense of words, you're not thinking about the background music that's playing behind you."
"There are dark things that happen on Good Morning America," Gyllenhaal joked. "[Their defining me with a Taylor Swift song] is not one of them."
