Lebanese singer Dominique Hourani stated that she had received a proposal to be on the cover of the American famous magazine Playboy, but had turned them down. Dominique added that the offer was made back in 2006 while she was on tour in the United States of America. According to the London based Elaph, Dominique said she was holding a concert in Michigan part of the Arab Music Festival and had received a phone call from the officials at Playboy. She added that the officials at Playboy also offered to send her a private plane to pick her up from Michigan and take her to their headquarters in Los Angeles. Dominique stressed that the main reason that made her turn down the offer was the fact that she felt the magazine wanted to ruin the image of the Arab female and say that an Arab woman had agreed to appear almost nude. When Dominique refused their offer, the magazine agreed to have her wear a bikini and she refused their second offer. Dominique said that if she was not an Arab and Lebanese woman, she may have accepted the offer because it is a dream of so many fashion models and cinema stars.
