Some wounded former rebels in Libya held a protest in an oil Refinery in the city of Zawiya, some 48 km west of the capital Tripoli, triggering an oil shortage in the country on Monday. Head of Zawiya Local Council Abdulftah Amar told Xinhua that the protesters, who ask for medical treatment, caused an oil shortage in the western cities of Libya as long queues were seen at the gas stations in those cities waiting to fill up their gas tanks. He added that the council has visited the wounded to check their conditions, and is trying to solve the conflict between them and the government.
