Clients' personal data at 14 insurance firms have been leaked and circulated in the market, industry sources said Tuesday, less than two months after a massive personal information leakage from credit card companies. According to the sources, the police have arrested 13 money lending brokers and insurance agents on suspicion of illegally obtaining and distributing personal information of some 13,000 clients from 14 local life and nonlife insurance firms, including Hanwha Life Insurance Co., Dongbu Insurance Co., LIG Insurance Co., Allianz Life Insurance Co., and Kyobo Life Insurance Co.
