The Israeli occupation authorities decided to partially open Karem Abu Salem crossing on Sunday morning to allow the entry of aids and goods into the besieged Gaza Strip. Palestinian liaison official Raed Fattouh said that the occupation authorities decided to allow the entry of 300-310 truckloads of aids and goods for trade, agricultural, and transportation sectors. Fattouh said that 22 vans would be loaded with cement and 99 vans loaded with gravel for UNRWA projects. A limited amount of domestic-use gas will also be pumped in through the same terminal. The Israeli occupation authorities continue to impose a total siege on Gaza Strip for nearly five years, control the quantities of goods entered it and prevent entry of raw materials and construction.
