Hundreds of electricity workers in the industrial city of 10 Ramadan, east of Cairo, continued a strike for the third day demanding an increase in allowances. The workers demand a 35 per cent increase in their \"overtime allowances\" to be equal to what workers in the electricity companies elsewhere in Egypt get. 10 Ramadan City electricity workers received a 25 per cent increase in allowances this year. \"We have been sitting-in for three days now, and no one from the company\'s management talked to us,\" Ihab Moussa, one of the protestors. told Ahram Arabic news. Workers added that they will continue the sit-in until their demands are met. 10 Ramadan City is one of the most important industrial zones in Egypt, housing hundreds of local and international firms.
