Some workers refused to work at a building construction site in Ras Al Khaimah on Saturday, police said.
Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan, Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving an alert about workers who abandoned their duties at the construction site.
He said the situation is under control by security authorities, and an investigation is under way to identify the reason behind the workers’ decision to stop their work.
Bin Alwan urged everyone not to spread rumours via social networking sites, saying that police are keen to publish all information after investigations.
