Airport personnel have announced a surprise strike Thursday that is likely to disrupt traffic at the main Charles de Gaulle airport in the French capital, sources at the airport said.
Aeroport de Paris (ADP), which provides ground staff and other personnel at the airport confirmed the lightening strike on Thursday.
According to ADP, about 20 percent of flights could be cancelled and airlines are being asked to cut back on traffic to avoid delays and major cancellations.
No length for the strike has been given but it must be notified for renewal during Thursday if it is being extended into Friday and the busy weekend of winter holiday traffic.
