After entering a hyper growth face, Etisalat market seems to be finally cooling off, with the number of subscribers showing a sudden drop off. A recent survey in which 5,000 people participated shows a huge 69 percent saying that they have moved from Etisalat to du. According to the results of a recent survey conducted , about 69 per cent subscribers changed their mobile operator and moved from Etisalat to du. But du has done it before also.5,000 readers participated in the survey, which asked the readers to reveal if they had changed their mobile phone operator and to give the details if they answered in the affirmative. The poll results matched the first quarter results of both operators. While du witnessed growth in Q1, 2011 with 23 per cent rise in subscriber base. Etisalat saw a 10.08 per cent decline during the same period. The CEO of du, Othman Sultan, confirmed the authenticity of the poll, another source from Etisalat who preferred to remain anonymous was skeptical about the poll findings. It may be mentioned that du has been proactive as well by playing a vital role in the consolidation of national identity and earlier it introduced a series of \'Life of the Emirates\' series in the UAE television it reflected the profession and trade practiced by people in the UAE in earlier times.
