Container cargo processed at South Korea\'s seaports increased 11.8 percent last month with both trade and transshipment cargo gaining significantly on a year earlier, the government said Monday. The amount of container cargo handled at the country\'s seaports came to nearly 1.82 million 20-foot-equivalent units (TEUs), compared with 1.63 million TEUs during the same period the previous year, according to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. The October figure was a slight increase from the 1.76 million TEUs processed at the country\'s seaports in September.
