Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro received today Baitak For Industrial Investments Chief Executive Nader Khalil Al Moayyed. They reviewed the latest developments in the industrial sector and the company’s future plans in light of the big facilities provided by the government to stimulate the industrial sector and boost its contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Dr. Fakhro stressed the need for coordination between the public and private sectors in Bahrain to promote economic development. He also hailed the positive initiatives of Baitak for Industrial Investments to serve the nation and citizens stressing the government’s support to the pioneering investment companies in Bahrain. Dr. Fakhro also received US Legal Advisor Andrew Samet, in the presence of Talal Al Absi and Hatim Abdul Hamid. They discussed strong ties binding Bahrain with the USA mainly in the economic field, citing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as an example. The US official expressed thanks to the Bahraini leadership and government for the efforts exerted to cement bilateral relations for the benefit of both countries. The meeting was attended by Industry and Commerce Ministry Undersecretary for Trade Affairs Dr. Abdullah Mansour, Assistant Undersecretary for External Trade Ahmed Isa Bubshit and External Trade Relations Director Eman Al Dussari.
