Indian Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said the global slowdown will impact India\' s growth prospects, which is expected to be at 8 percent this fiscal year, said the Press Trust of India. Mukherjee said the Indian economy is growing at 8 percent, down from 8.5 percent in 2010-11 fiscal year. An 8 percent growth will still be a \"reason for celebrations\", he said at an annual conference of economic editors of Indian media. India\'s fiscal year begins April 1st and ends March 31st.
