Grain futures were mixed in Chicago Monday as equities tumbled on Wall Street on fears Greece could wind up in default. Corn was unchanged to up 1/4, soybeans were off 1 1/2 to up 1/2, wheat was up 10 1/4 to up 16 and oats were unchanged to off 1 1/2. Corn prices rose slightly after the U.S. Department of Agriculture said field conditions had deteriorated during the week ending Sunday. Wheat futures found support from rain in the forecast, which could slow spring wheat planting. Soybeans were marginally lower as the dollar index rose 0.99 percent. The prices: Corn: Dec 5.92 1/2 unchanged, Mar 6.06 up 1/4, May 6.13 3/4 up 1/4, Jly 6.19 1/4 unchanged. Soybeans: Nov 11.77 1/2 off 1 1/2, Jan 11.88 3/4 off 3/4, Mar 11.98 off 1/4, May 12.05 up 1/2. Wheat: Dec 6.19 1/2 up 10 1/4, Mar 6.57 up 10 1/2, May 6.81 1/4 up 12 3/4, Jly 6.92 3/4 up 16.Oats: Dec 3.28 unchanged, Mar 3.39 unchanged, May 3.45 off 1 1/2, Jly 3.51 off 1 1/2.
