The Finance Ministry said that tax revenues increased by nearly EGP 7.5 billion to reach EGP 212.4 billion in a nine-month period from July 2015 to March 2016, compared to EGP 204.9 billion during the same period of the fiscal year 2014/2015.
In its report on Friday, the ministry said that revenues from taxes on goods and services upped by nearly 15.7 % to reach EGP 100 billion from July to March of the FY 2015/2016, against EGP 86.4 billion during the same period of the FY 2014/2015.
As for the sales tax, it upped by 5.3% to reach EGP 41.1 billion.
While property tax revenues increased by nearly 30.2% to reach EGP 19.9 billion in the FY 2015/2016 against EGP 15.3 billion in the FY 2014/2015
