China\'s top political advisor Jia Qinglin said here on Sunday that China and Germany enjoy an important opportunity to expand their cooperation. During a meeting with President of the Bavarian Parliament Barbara Stamm, Jia said China attaches importance to its ties with Germany and views the European country as an important strategic partner. In recent years, the two countries\' leaders have maintained close contact with each other and mutual political trust has been constantly strengthened, said Jia, chairman of the Chinese People\'s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee. Bilateral cooperation between the two countries has maintained strong momentum of development in various fields, he said. Noting that the cooperation between the two countries\' provinces is an important component of bilateral ties, Jia said the state of Bavarian plays an important role in the overall cooperation between the two countries. In the spirit of win-win cooperation, China will continue to conduct cooperation with the German state in economy, trade, technology, especially in high-tech, Jia said. For her part, Stamm said she thinks Jia\'s visit will promote bilateral cooperation. Bavarian\'s cooperation with China\'s provinces not only benefits the state itself, but also promotes the development of the overall bilateral ties, she said. The Bavarian state is ready to expand its cooperation with China in high-tech and renewable resources so as to uplift the Germany-China ties to higher level, Stamm said. Jia arrived in Germany earlier on Sunday for a six-day visit. Germany is the last stop of Jia\'s three-nation European tour, which has already taken him to Greece and the Netherlands.
