China’s inflation fell in August for the first time in 37 months to 6.2 percent The Consumer Price Index of China (CPI) dropped to 6.2 percent year on year in August, thus reducing by two tenths, the level reached in July and was the highest the last 37 months, said the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The food prices in August rose 13.4 percent, while in July they reached 14.8 percent, compared with the same month of 2010, a situation that surprised the Chinese Government, which had estimated only a four percent inflation for all of 2011,
