The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) ended without any significant change yesterday, as it retreated to 6,769.12 points, which was roughly where it started the session. The index while wavering in the North-South within a range of 38 points finally crossed the break-even line, adding a nominal 1.31 points or 0.02 percent. Saudi sector indices performed in a mixed fashion, with ten sectors accumulating an aggregate of 476 points and five sectors trimming 82 points collectively. Media and Publishing came out as the best performing sector, rising by 4.38 percent. Multi-Investment and Hotel & Tourism sectors followed it, advancing by 2.45 percent and 1.77 percent respectively. Six out of top ten market cap companies ended the day in green. Kingdom Holding and Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) performed well relatively, achieving a growth of 2.11 percent and 1.4 percent respectively. However, the heavyweight SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) slipped 1.95 percent to close at SR 88. Market breadth was positive, whereby 87 symbols closed in green and 56 closed in red, while 11 remained unchanged. Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance, Saudi Integrated Telecommunication and Allied Insurance outperformed among all Saudi stocks, reflecting an increment of 9.9 percent for the day. An appreciation of nearly 40 percent in the value of ALMUTAKAMELA and Allied Insurance has been recorded in four consecutive days. From: Arabnews
