The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Tuesday, adding 24.30 points or 0.29% to 8,271.79 points from the previous closing of 8,247.49. The volume of the shares traded has increased to 5,641,744 from 3,984,744 on Monday and the value of shares down to QR118,981,169.02 from QR590,727,146.48 Monday. Among the top gainers were Commercial Bank of Qatar which was up 1.15% to QR70.30, Barwa real estate rose 1.47% to QR27.60, Qatar Navigation gained 1.01% to QR60.20 and National Leasing up by 1.50% to QR40.65. Among the top losers were Qatar National Bank whose share dropped 0.08% to QR131.90 , Industries Qatar lost 0.08% to QR131.40, international Islamic Bank fell 0.10% to QR48.95 and Qatar Telecom down 0.57% to QR105.30. The Banking and Financial sector index was up by 4.22 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added by 29.07 points. The industrial sector was rose by 4.66 points while insurance sector gained 25.41 points.
