The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Tuesday adding 21.59 points or 0.26% to 8,298.33 points from the previous closing of 8,276.74. The volume of the shares traded was down to 6,702,478 from 6,466,793 on Thursday and the value of shares was fell to QR 215,821,506.54 from QR 211,471,971.10 Monday. Among the top gainers were Doha Bank which was up 0.72% to QR56.30, Qatar Islamic Bank rose 1.04% to QR 77.80, Barwa Real estate gained 2.01% to QR 27.95 and Islamic Insurance up by 0.67% to QR 60.00. The Banking and Financial sector index was up by 2.77 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index rose by 1.86oints. The industrial sector was lost by 0.96 points while insurance sector down by 11.06 points.
