The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Monday adding 32.75 points or 0.39% to 8,470.36 points from 8,437.61 Sunday. The volume of shares traded up to 6,941,596 from 4,994,522 on Sunday and the value of shares increased to QR281,289,457.48 from QR266,868,388.47 Sunday. Top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar which was up 1.23% to QR82.00, Intl. Islamic Bank by 1.30% to QR54.40, Barwa Real Estate by 1.70% to QR29.85, Al Kaleej Takaful up by 1.32% to QR46.10 and Salam International by 1.35% to QR12.38. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 38.24 while the Insurance sector up 17.28 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 50.17 points and the Services sector added 25.35 points.
