Qatar Exchange index dropped marginally during this week losing 16.25 points (0.19%) to close at 8,377 points from its last week\'\'s closing of 8393.25. The market capitalization fell by 0.33% at QR 445,275,044,301.36 compared to QR 446,734,801,378.32 at the end of previous week. Of the 42 listed companies 14 ended this week higher while 24 fell and four remained unchanged. Industries Qatar led trading value during this week accounting for 14.72% of the total trading value, followed by Masraf Al Rayan (13.92%) and Qatar National Bank (10.90%). The trading value during this week decreased by 3.67% at QR 561,266,102.72 compared to QR 582,653,066.00. The trading volume decreased by 12.88% at 13,623,125 shares as against 15,637,163 shares last week while the number of transactions fell by 2.56%, at 11,290 transactions as compared to 11,587 transactions. Banking and financial sector led the trading value this with 44.97% of the total traded value. Services came next with 35.81% followed by industrial sector (17.87%) and insurance sector with (1.35%). Services sector the led trading volume this week with 45.78% of the total traded volume. Banking and financial sector came next with 42.07%. Industrial sector came third with 11.11% followed by insurance sector, which accounted for 1.04%. Banking and financial sector led number of traded transactions this week with 41.25% of the total number of transactions. Services sector came next with 41.12%. Industrial sector ranked third with 15.79% followed by insurance sector with 1.84%.
