Nikkei ended 0.16 percent lower Tuesday, with the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average losing 10.46 points, or 0.12 percent, to 8,786.05, the third consecutive day of decline. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 1.16 points, or 0.16 percent, at 731. 19. Decliners included the fishery and forestry, paper and real estate industries, while gainers included sea transport firms, oil distributors and airline companies.
