New York stock markets stumbled Monday in a continuation of Friday\'s hard drop. On Friday, the 25th anniversary of Black Monday, the Dow Jones industrial average gave up nearly 295 points, or 1.52 percent. In early afternoon trading Monday, the Dow gave up 102.62 or 0.77 percent to 13,240.89. The Nasdaq composite index shed 9.28 points or 0.31 percent to 2,996.34. The Standard and Poor\'s 500 index lost 10.76 points or 0.75 percent to 1,422.43. The benchmark 10-year treasury note fell 7/32 to yield 1.794 percent. The euro rose to $1.3043 from Friday\'s $1.3023. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 79.83 yen from 79.32 yen. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index added 0.09 percent, 8.03 points, to 9,010.71. In London, the FTSE 100 index gave up 0.22 percent, 13.24, to 5,882.91.
