The Bahrain All Share Index ended the month of July down 26.89 point or 2.39% (month-on moth basis) compared to June (1,126.71) when the Bahrain Bourse closed at 1,099.82. The market capitalization decreased by 2.89% at the end of the current month to reach approximately Bahraini Dinar (BD) 6,021,028,798 Billion. Eight companies notes gains while 14 went down. Decliners outnumbered advancers by a margin of 14:8 and the prices of 25 companies remained unchanged. The value of shares traded decreased by 94.81% to reach BD 2.52mn. The volume of shares decreased by 95.18% to reach 11.0 million shares, while the number of trades decreased by 14.66% to reach 611 trades. Most of the trading was concentrated in the Commercial Banks sector, which witnessed BD1.1mn of trading value, capturing 42.5% of the total value of shares traded on Bahrain Bourse. The number of trading days was 23 in July compared to 20 in June.
