Main index of Amman Stock Exchange dropped 11 points during the past week operations and its daily trade also fell, by 18.5 percent, according to weekly figures of the bourse. Benchmark for the week closing stood at 1,863.4 points, compared to 1,874.5 points of the previous week, falling by 0.59 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector decreased 0.63 percent, that of the industries, 0.59 percent and the services, 1.48 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD nine million, compared to USD eight million the week before, with a decline proportion of 18. 5 percent. Volume of trade of the week stood at some USD 33 million, compared to USD 40.5 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 31.4 million, done through 15,746 deals. As to sectors\' contributions in volume of trade, the financial sector came first, 58.7 percent of the overall trade, followed by the services, 23.7 percent, and industries, 17.7 percent. Comparing prices of closing of the trading companies, amounting to 178, with the previous closing, stock price of 84 ones dropped and those of 53 others rose.
