Snow City received two noteworthy awards at this year’s MENA Shopping Center and Retail Awards ceremony. Receiving “Retail Store Design” and “Marketing Award for Grand Launch” awards, Snow City was honored with one of the highest achievements in the shopping and retail industry. The awards celebrate excellence across all sectors of the industry in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Othaim, vice president of Al-Othaim Leisure & Tourism Company and Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Othaim, vice president of Al-Othaim Holding, received the awards at a ceremony held by the Middle East Council and Shopping Center (MECSC) at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Dubai. The awards, considered as Oscars in for the sector, honor pioneering entertainment destinations that lead the leisure and tourism industry.
Commenting on the awards, Saleh Al-Othaim said: “As one of Saudi Arabia’s prominent leisure and tourism companies, we are sincerely moved to have recognition from the MENA Shopping Center and Retail Awards. Snow City was constructed on a 5,000-square-meter area at a cost of SR100 million. It has an hourly capacity of 350 people and is also a host to various entertainment activities such as ice bumper cars, ski zone, rope courses, wall climbing, and an indoor snowmobile area. Snow City will be launching new games and initiatives and it will be offering attractive deals for individuals and students alike during the holiday seasons at very competitive prices.
The Snow City at Al-Othaim Mall represents a vast leap for the tourism industry in the Kingdom. It offers brilliant innovations and stylishly designed ice huts that feature breathtaking views and bright colors. It also boasts an events and celebration venue that has been designated at the site, including a series of popular restaurants for visitors.
