Prince Sultan University (PSU) hosted a meeting at its campus in Riyadh, where Mobily executives presented their HR and IT expertise for the benefit of the student community.
Stressing that the interaction between the university and Mobily was part of the company’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s education sector, Abdullah Almudaifer, its EGM for IT development and implementation, gave a presentation on how to acquire the suitable technical and personal skills for work environment in order to deal with a faster technical development.
He also focused on the size of technical development and expected investments in the Kingdom’s telecom and technology projects in the context of Vision 2030.
Almudaifer pointed out to the university staff the “unique opportunities provided by Mobily to innovative students” in this field, and the company’s ability to adopt such opportunities, and its positive influence to innovators and developers.
Almudaifer presented some success stories that have mainly contributed to IT development locally and internationally.
Bassam Al-Sowyigh, GM, talent acquisition and talent development, presented a brief about the company and its HR department structure and talent acquisition system.
Al-Sowyigh said the company’s elite program (EP) aims to hire young, talented, fresh male and female graduates, and explained the required qualifications and selection process.
Al-Sowyigh shared with the students his advise related to the preparation and writing of resumes, and the best ways to highlight individual skills in interviews.
Mobily stated that it is always persistent to continue such enrichment programs, which come under its CSR program and role in the education sector, in order to obtain knowledge and exchange experiences in different areas with various authorities.
