Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery has praised the achievements of Bahrain’s workers and applauded their dedication.
In a statement on the occasion of May Day, which celebrates the achievements of workers and their innovations, he stressed on the importance of working towards the development of society and the posperity of the homeland.
He said the more the production develops as a result of workers’ efforts, the more prosperous the country would become.
He said the day is marked in appreciation of workers’ contributions in developing and promoting their homeland for sustainable development.
Dr. Jawahery said Bahrain is proud of its leadership that recognises the importance of the efforts of all workers and their contributions towards production, creativity and innovation.
He said the day is an official holiday for the government and civil sectors in recognition of these efforts and their role in the development of Bahrain.
He congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for their interest and follow-up on workers’ issues and their requirements.
Dr. Jawahery also applauded all Bahrain labour unions in companies, plants and institutions that work hard to promote a joint relationship between workers and employers.
He extended his best wishes to all the workers, who have shown great responsibility for the good of the country and have earned national and international respect.
He said these workers are the true wealth of Bahrain and it is through them that institutions, factories and companies had achieved recognition, for a bright and promising future.
