Emaar Foundation, launched earlier this year by global developer Emaar Properties, has rolled out a new campaign, ‘Ramadan for All,' focused on promoting a responsible society and nurturing a sense of community and solidarity during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
As part of the campaign, Emaar Foundation is taking part in the Food Drive UAE, a social initiative by the Ro'yati Family Society introduced to help underprivileged families during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Food packages are being collected, and handed out to families and individuals in need.
Activations are taking place as well across many of the Emaar entities. The Dubai Mall is hosting "I Can Teach You Something? – Can You Teach Me to Read" initiative as part of the Dubai Cares Ramadan campaign 2015. It emphasises the abundance of talent and resourcefulness among children in developing countries and aims to promote a unique skill exchange between children in impoverished communities and school-going children from around the world.
Another activation at The Dubai Mall in partnership with Fatima bint Mohammed Bin Zayed Initiative aims to drive sustainable development by empowering women employed in carpet production. It also offers them and their families' critical social services in healthcare and education.
In addition, daily Iftars are being hosted at mosques and prayer halls in different Emaar communities with the total number of distributed Iftar meals exceeding 3,000 per day. Community members are also invited to be part of Emaar Foundation's ‘Ramadan for All' campaign by donating clothes that will be distributed by the Bait Al Khair Society to the needy during Ramadan.
