Dubai - Arabstoday

e-Home Automation, a member of Dubai SME, the agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai has gone past a major milestone by launching an innovative “smart homes” product range. Dubai SME, entrusted with promoting and advancing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in line with its mandate to promote entrepreneurship and development of world-class SME competencies, has supported e-Home Automation through its launch and subsequent growth into a leading automation solutions provider in the Middle East. The new product range, supported by Intel Corporation, includes e-Home Controls Version 3, e-Homegreen Version 2 and e-Homewireless Version 1. e-Home Automation unveiled the product lines on Saturday before a select group of top government and industry representatives. All three of the new e-Home systems are symbolic of a keen focus on innovation and excellence in research and development (R&D) and are designed to allow property developers, facility management companies, telecom operators, energy companies and other organisations deploy automation systems quickly, easily and affordably. The three new product lines have powerful energy saving and management features built-in and they are fully Smart Grid compatible. The systems are designed to be the foundation of Intelligent Cities and give end users the best possible functionality and flexibility. e-Home Controls Version 3 is an advanced software programme that enables users to communicate with, and control their property through, their mobile, the Internet or even through voice commands. This product has been gaining regional and global acceptance and is being installed in thousands of properties around the world. e-Homegreen Version 2 is a complete automation hardware solution, which has been designed to be deployed for large scale property developments, and makes automation and energy saving easy and affordable for property developers and installation teams. e-Homewireless Version 1 is a versatile automation hardware system that be installed into any property - either those that are being built, or existing properties. “We have designed this product range to provide a truly 21st Century lifestyle, which combines comfort, security and convenience with the ability to make energy efficiency easy” said Architect Khalifa A. AlJaziri, Group Managing Director, e-Home Automation. As the proud winner of the Dubai SME Best Business in Electronics and IT Awards 2011, e-Home is committed to being a leading technology innovator in the UAE, the GCC and the wider Middle East. We strive for excellence and we truly believe we have a world-class solution with this product range. “Thanks to the ongoing support by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small to Medium Enterprises and Intel Corporation, e-Home has created not only a range of world-class systems that can compete on a global scale, we also hope to set an example in the region for indigenous innovation and research and development” AlJaziri concluded. Abdul Basit Al Janahi, CEO of Dubai SME, added: “Dubai SME sees the growth of e-Home Automation as a strong endorsement of our strategies. Our support extends from providing a solid launch-pad for SME investment to supporting capability development throughout the entire lifecycle of the enterprise. Energy-efficient smart homes are a strategic necessity in a fast-growing market like Dubai and the SME sector emerging as a major player in this sector will have a strong impact on development and overall competitiveness in Dubai.” “It’s exciting to see such a perfect fitting solution by home-grown talents and entrepreneurs. The level of commitment and R&D invested by Khalifa and his team is apparent in this cutting edge innovation. e-Home Automation is the most advanced solution I have seen and undoubtedly rivals standard off-the shelf alternatives. Intel will continue to support Khalifa and Arab talent in setting future shaping  technology benchmarks for the region”, said Samir Al-Schamma, General Manager for the Middle East, Intel Corporation. The Global Smart Homes market is estimated to be $13.4 billion by 2014. e-Home Automation estimates that there will be a requirement for automation for at least 300,000 residential properties in new “Smart/Intelligent Cities” in the GCC over the next five years and that the automation market in the region will reach $4 billion by 2016.
