Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met here today the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the workers' trade union of the Bahrain Flour Mills Company BSC ("Al-Matahin), Ghassan Khalil Al-Al-Aryash, and Deputy Chairman Ahmed Yahya Al-Gharbi.
Al-Aryash expressed, on behalf of the members and affiliates of the Matahin workers' trade union, sincere thanks and appreciation for the ministry and the affiliates and staff of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development for their efforts and keenness to strengthen the relation between the three production parties through encouraging social dialogue and converging points of views, valuing highly, in this regard, the role of the company's board of directors in consolidating relations between the two parties.
The minister stressed that dialogue and negotiations between companies' boards and workers' trade unions are the best means to address the challenges facing labour relations.
He added that the institutional and trade union work which is based on preserving the interests of the institution is cornerstone of its success and growth, hailing the cooperation and flexibility shown by the workers' union and the board of the Al-Matahin company, and the Ministry's efforts to consolidate trust between the two sides for eth top interests of the company.
Al-Aryash presented the minister with a commemorative gift.
