Over 70 customers and a dozen Castrol sales team members participated in the launch of Castrol Vecton in Jeddah on Nov. 15.
The new engine oil for trucks and heavy-duty construction equipment is the latest offering from the Castrol commercial vehicle oil family.
Haitham Badaoui, CEO of Castrol in Saudi Arabia, said: “Today, we are witnessing the birth of a distinctive technology that will revolutionize the way we perceive heavy duty and diesel engine lubrication. This unique technology comes after rigorous processing and testing under extreme conditions and the results manifested themselves in what we believe is the most advanced lubrication system currently available in the market.”
Complex product information was turned into instant interactivity with engaging techno-marketing games. Visual content came alive through audiovisual kiosks while the overall immersive format took the audience right into the heart of the engine for a deeper understanding of its changing conditions.
“What a stunning product launch, it could only be done by Castrol,” remarked one of the participants.
Castrol Vecton was also launched in Riyadh on Nov. 22, and in Alkhobar and Dammam on Nov. 30.
“What makes the new product unique is its system 5 technology that enables engine performance adapt to dynamic changing conditions,” the company stated.
Its benefits: Fights oil thickening, which results in better fuel efficiency; fights piston deposits, thus resulting in lower oil consumption; fights contaminants, thus resulting in longer oil drain intervals; fights wear and corrosion, thus enhancing the life of critical engine components; and fights soot, thus improving engine power all the way through the oil drain life.
Two variants of Castrol Vecton available are: 15W-40 CI4 Plus/E7 and Long Drain SLD 10W-40.
“Castrol VECTON engine oils recommended by Mercedes Benz, MAN, Renault, Volvo, Mack, Scania and Deutz,” the company added.
