Adding another honor to its growing list of achievements in 2016, Bahri, a global leader in logistics and transportation, headquartered in Saudi Arabia, has won the Ship Owner/Operator of the Year award at The Maritime Standard Awards 2016.
The third edition of the awards took place in Dubai, with the support of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, president, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and chairman and chief executive, Emirates Airline and Group, to recognize and celebrate the industry’s most outstanding performers.
“It is a matter of great pride and honor for Bahri to receive these coveted accolades, especially at a time when we have firmly intensified our efforts and approach to business growth,” he said.
“These achievements are a strong measure of the success of our long-term business strategy and our continued focus on driving greater value for our stakeholders. We are extremely proud to attribute our success at the Maritime Standard Awards to our entire global team whose dedication and never-ending pursuit of excellence have been fueling Bahri’s growth journey to new milestones,” said Hisham Alnughaimish, VP, Bahri Oil Transportation.
Representing Bahri at Breakbulk Middle East 2016 were Bahri General Cargo’s President Ahmed Al-Ghaith and Liner Director Matthew Luckhurst.
Al-Ghaith said: “Breakbulk Middle East 2016 provides us with a great opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with customers along with the right visibility and exposure. More importantly, it helps us to highlight our commitment to the regional industry.”
Luckhurst stated: “Despite uncertain global economic conditions, construction projects in the Middle East remain the primary business for Bahri’s general cargo service, which is contributing strongly to Bahri’s overall performance.”
Breakbulk Middle East is taking place in Abu Dhabi until Oct. 26, with the support of the UAE’s Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of Federal Transport Authority–Land and Maritime Abdullah Belhaif Al-Nuaimi.
