Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)’s participation in the 2nd Aluminium Technology, Machinery and Products Trade Fair (ALUEXPO 2011) provides the company with an opportunity to tap into the markets of Turkey, Eurasia and Central Europe as well as look for ways to further expand the global presence of its product portfolio. ALUEXPO 2011 will be held from October 13 – 16, 2011 at the Istanbul Expo Center, Istanbul, Turkey. The second edition of this trade fair will provide a platform for key professionals in the global aluminium sector to not only learn about new developments and innovations in the industry but also transform promising business leads into potential trading partnerships.Commenting on the company’s participation in ALUEXPO 2011, Alba’s Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt said:“Alba has participated in ALUEXPO since its very first edition was inaugurated in 2009. We are confident of its continued success and our participation this year is a clear demonstration of our support for this premier trade event. Europe is one of the key markets for Alba’s products, and ALUEXPO 2011 provides our company with the opportunity to further expand our presence in the continent. We look forward to interacting with potential trade contacts not only from Turkey but also from the Eurasian region and central Europe.”Currently, Alba’s sals to Europe occupy 15 per cent of its total output. Alba recently opened a sales office in Zurich to develop this market, gain closer access to potential and existing customers in Europe, and strengthen the company’s position in the region. WHQ
