3M, described as a company driven by science and innovation, is participating in the 12th Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) Technical Conference (STC-12), where the company will share scientific and technical expertise with key stakeholders and decision-makers from Saudi petrochemical and refining industries.
Being held with the support of Prince Saud bin Naif Al-Saud, the 2016 edition of the four-day SABIC Technical Conference concludes on Wednesday (Nov. 9), at the Jubail Industrial City.
Abdelhakeem Dweekat, GM-industrial, 3M Saudi Arabia, said: “We are extremely pleased to be participating at another SABIC Technical Conference and Exhibition after taking part in 2012 and 2014. This year, we’re excited to have 3M Laboratory Manager Karl Weilandt, a fluoropolymer and fluorochemical scientist as our featured expert from 3M Labs. Weilandt leads technical seminars on the use of fluoropolymer materials in packaging plastics, wire and cables, pipes, and architectural membranes.”
3M products that will be exhibited at STC-12 include 3M Dynamar polymer processing additives (PPAs), equipment and facility maintenance products, refining and plant safety products, refining and production filtration products, as well as 3M Scotchkote corrosion protection coatings.
“One of our key priorities is to provide solutions that keep with Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Program (NTP 2020), that was launched by the Kingdom as part of the implementation of Vision 2030 with the aim of meeting interim targets by 2020 through various strategic initiatives,” said Mansour Aljuaid, GM, governmental markets and strategic planning, 3M Saudi Arabia.
“Not only will we share technical expertise, but visitors at the 3M stand during the 2016 edition of SABIC Technical Conference will also have the opportunity to experience some of the latest advancements in science and technology that could significantly enhance the productivity and profitability in the refining and petrochemicals sector,” he added.
