Business leaders and professionals from the UAE and Turkey will participate in the two day UAE-Turkey Business Forum on the 8th and 9th May in Dubai in efforts to further develop bilateral relations and increase investments and joint projects in the avenues of tourism, transport, finance and trade services between the two countries.
The Turkish Ambassador to the UAE, Can Dizdar, said, "Our business delegation will participate at the forum with the objective to boost business relations and a twofold increase in trade volume." He added, "with interactions between Turkey and the UAE steadily increasing and the trade volume reaching over US$10 billion, I am optimistic about the forum’s outcome."
With the three-month peak season for Turkey’s tourism sector about to begin in June, Mr. Dizdar revealed that the upcoming tourist destinations Trabzon and Marmaris will bring its new and unique experiences to the forefront at the forum.
Dizdar added, "It has become a necessity to introduce diversification in the tourism industry. As part of our efforts to keep up with the pace of development around the world we are continuously developing new regions to offer a variety of unique experiencers for travellers."
The ambassador revealed that 1 in every 10 tourists from the UAE chooses Turkey for their next holiday, making UAE and the GCC the top market for the Turkish tourism industry. To cater to the demand, more than 100 weekly flights from the UAE to Turkey has been launched in addition to new tourism developments and attractions in the country.
"Tourism is one of the primary sectors of Turkey and the nation is well on its way to being in the top five tourist destinations of the world. The country is focusing on the UAE and the GCC which has been identified as one of the strongest markets and it makes me proud and happy to see the increased visibility of Turkey among the UAE leadership and public," concluded Dizdar.
