Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil is having intensified contacts with Russian authorities on their latest decision to impose a temporary restriction on some agricultural imports from Egypt.
Qabil stressed the need to cancel those restrictions, especially with a new export season around the corner.
The Russian officials expressed understanding during the talks, the minister said in a statement Monday, expecting a solution to be reached to the problem.
Joint negotiations are set to start later today in Moscow between experts from both countries to discuss the needed requirements.
