Malaysia aims to double its e Commerce annual growth to 20.8% by 2020 from 10.8% in 2016, aided by the National e-commerce Strategic Roadmap.
Malaysian International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said under the road map, the e-commerce revenue was expected to contribute RM211 billion to Malaysia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2020.
Currently, Malaysia's e Commerce GDP contribution stood at 5.8%, lagging behind other countries like China (21% of GDP) and the United States (35% of GDP), the Minister said.
