The official of the regional office of Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) on Tuesday said the agency seeks backing the business of Italian companies in Egypt.
Speaking at the mega projects conference held in Egypt, she noted that the investments in Egypt, estimated at billions of dollars, are big as compared to the volume of trade and exports in the Arab region.
In this regard, she added the AICS pays attention to investments in the Middle East and North Africa.
Egypt is a key nation in the region, she said, pointing out to Italy's interest in megaprojects on infrastructure, gas sector and transport.
Meanwhile, the Italian official touched on the several projects that Egypt's government has started to carry out as well as the measures taken to create good atmosphere for investment.
