The Islamic Republic of Iran will participate in the 31st India International Trade Fair beginning from November 14 in New Delhi.The fortnight-long annual flagship event of India Trade Promotion Organisation will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Finance, Pranab Mukherjee on November 14 at Pragati Maidan (Exhibiton Ground), the venue of Asia\'s largest trade fair in New Delhi. This year, West Bengal and Jharkhand are ‘Partner State’ while, Bihar and Orissa gets status of ‘Focus States’ at the fair. Highlighting the creative genius of Indian artisans and craftsmen, the theme of the IITF-2011 is \'Indian Handicrafts-The Magic of the Gifted Hands\'. “Giving the fair a pronounced business dimension the first five days viz. November 14 to 18, are open exclusively for business and trade visitors,” ITPO Chairman-cum-Managing Director Rajeev Kher told a press conference on Wednesday. He added that the introduction of this measure will facilitate the transaction of business by trade visitors in comfort and convenience sans crowds. An International Business Lunge will be functioning for providing facilitation services to overseas trade delegations visiting the fair under the aegis of trade associations and other recognized nodal business groups. Attracting over 6000 exhibitors from India along with as many as 26 countries including Iran, the fair will provide a befitting representation of both the domestic sector and foreign sector covering a broad display spectrum during 15 days fair from November 14 to 27. More than one million people are expected to throng the fortnight-long IITF-2011. Organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization(ITPO), the fair is among the world\'s biggest trade shows approved by the Union Foires de Internacionale de-Paris. ITPO has been organizing the IITF since 1981.
