Minister of Industry Tareq Qabil on Friday said that NMC Healthcare, one of India' mega hospitals, plans to establish an integrated medical city in Egypt at a total investment of 1.6 billion dollars.
The city will comprise hospitals, faculties of medicine, medical tourism facilities, as well as nursing centers in line with the most advanced technologies, Qabil added.
A delegation from the Indian hospital will visit Egypt in the next few weeks to discuss this file with all bodies concerned, the minister pointed out.
This came during a series of meetings Qabil held with chiefs of mega Indian companies on the fringe of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's current visit to New Delhi.
Hailing as "active and effective" the role of the joint business community in developing Egyptian-Indian strategic relations, the Egyptian minister said that direct communication between businessmen from both countries is essential in boosting joint economic cooperation.
