Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority Ahmed Darwish discussed Monday with a delegation from the African Export–Import Bank (AFREXIMBANK) means of cooperation.
The delegation's visit, under AFREXIMBANK President Benedict Oramah, falls within the framework of international funding agencies and the bank interest in getting first hand information about SCZone with a view to promoting it across the African continent, SCZOne Spokesman Nasr Foaud Said.
The visit aims at probing funding SCZone projects and utilizing the sum of one billion dollars allocated by the bank for investments in the continent, Foaud added.
During the meeting, SCZone chairman expounded the current situation, investments and goals of the Egyptian economic hub, highlighting projects that top the priorities of the SCZone.
Darwish briefed the delegation on utilities and main services offered by the project along with its investment incentives and advantages.
Meanwhile, Oramah and his accompanying delegation took a tour of Sokhna Port to get acquainted with its economic zone.
