Representatives of 15 Slovenian companies operating in different investment fields on Tuesday visited the Suez Canal Economic Zone to get acquainted with investment opportunities there.
Head of the zone Dr. Ahmed Darwish was on hand to receive the visiting delegation. He explained to them the nature of investment in the area and its geographic advantages along with its potentials including its affiliated six ports, according to a released statement issued by the zone.
Darwish explained that East Port Said area is being supplied with the required smart infrastructure for attracting advanced industries, added the statement.
The zone is planned to be one of the best seven economic zones at the world level in the period 2020-2025, he added.
The visit comes on the sidelines of the current visit of Slovenian President Borut Pahor to Egypt.
