The unemployment rate in Jordan stood at 12.3 percent for the fourth quarter of 2014, the Department of Statistics said on Wednesday.
The Department said in its quarterly report about unemployment in the Kingdom that it soared by 0.9 percent compared to the third quarter of the same year, when it had increased among men by 1.7 percent while decreasing by 2.9 percent among women.
The figures showed that joblessness was especially high among bachelor degree holders, standing at 16.8 percent, compared with holders of other educational qualifications.
The data also showed that the governorate of Ma'an had the highest unemployment rate at 21.2 percent, while the lowest was in Madaba, standing at 9.1 percent.
