Sudan representatives in an international conference on climate change, that was held in Mexico, reiterated calls for a debt relief for Sudan and all other third world countries.
Council of States Vice-President Badwai Idris said Friday that Sudan's participation in the climate change conference aimed to get the other participants acquainted with Sudan's efforts to adapt to the climate change phenomenon and its vision on rainwater harvesting and dam-building projects.
Sudan's proposals, especially those on the writing off of the poor nations' external debts, were welcomed by all participant countries, specially the African ones, Idris added.
